You’ll be excited to hear of bet365’s new betting method, Close Bet, which is now available for soccer, tennis and basketball.

Close Bet will be available via desktop mobile, tablet, iPad and bet365‘s premium mobile site and it allows a bet365 customer to cash in on a bet before it has reached settlement. It is NOT available to customers residing in Greece, Germany, Italy or Australia.

So, how it works – if you’ve placed a bet and you’re having doubts over its potential success, you can change your mind and take a settlement fee in return for your now-void bet. Depending on the bet/potential outcome, you’ll either make an early profit on a winning bet or a reduced loss on your initial stake for a losing bet. The amount by which the customer receives in return for the early Close Bet decision will of course depend on the bet in question.

The option is available in the top right of the customer’s bet365 homepage, with an example shown below:

Most bet types are supported by the Close Bet method, inclusive of singles, doubles, trebles, accumulators, lucky 15, plus loads more. For a full list, please let me know.

The following markets are excluded from the Close Bet method:

Asian Handicap
Goal line
Draw No Bet
First/next/last goalscorer
Scorecast
Anytime scorecast
First half scorecast
Wincast
Timecast.

Any associated bonus applied to the bet in question, such as our Euro Soccer Bonus, will be forfeited as part of the customer’s decision to close their bet early.
